Arriving into Richmond early was great although it was difficult to park so a fair bit of walking was included, the town was decorated with bunting and bikes, showing just how much the people were looking forward to the events to come.
Upon entering Friary Gardens there were many stalls surrounded by people wearing blues, yellows and fan tops for their favourite riders, a small area was decorated with fair ground rides for younger children, this was truly the effort of companies wanting everyone to feel included.
I proceeded into the town center looking at the sponsors and shop displays, I was looking forward to seeing this after seeing many images by other photographers over the previous days. To say people wanted to welcome the riders in true Yorkshire fashion would be an understatement as the preparations had been taking place for over a month.
The organisation by the crew was exceptional; they had designated number plates and beautiful stickers, it was a pleasure to see members of the Tour De France crew present.
I ended up taking more than 550 images but managed to choose a few I wished to present.
To see these please be patient for a preview on my website. I shall also be presenting my images on both Facebook and Instagram.
